happpy new year
...
life a movie all i can think about is monster hunter dragon quest and reading.. i been doing a lot of reading lately. 4 books read only 15 days into the year aint too shabby me thinks. my goal is 100 books for the year but i wont be torn up if i dont hit it. first book was in the miso soup ryu murakami. next woman in the dunes kobo abe followed by piercing ryu murakami. last book i finished was the illiterate by agota kristoff which was pretty good. both the murakamis were great. in the miso soup will be a brain worm for a while. piercing was good but wouldnt give much more praise than that. kojima reccomends heat. always. thank you beautiful hideo for woman in the dunes. agota kristoffs notebook trilogy is up there for the title of "favorite literature" so it was really cool getting to learn a bit about her. very sad book.
played 2 games technically started one last year but dont matter.... first was pokemon shining pearl. i bought it at launch, didnt bother finishing it and picked it back up and honestly.. i think its pretty good. Yeah the games are kinda ugly and they play really slow but they scratched an itch I didnt know I wanted scratched. pearl was my third pokemon game and since completing and getting platinum as a child i never considered playing pearl again despite how much i loved it. i like the way diamond and pearl structure sinnoh.. i like the gym progression more than platinums and I like some of the team galactic events more. the grand underground is really great, i really love what was done with it. overall i was really pleasantly surprised by these to the point where i like nearly as much as scarlet and violet. legends arceus still top dog on switch imo. Za number 2. We dont need to talk about sword and shield... played the za DLC as well and i really wasnt a fan of the direction they went with it. only thing i really enjoyed were the new megas. maybe a skill issue but being timed in a pokemon really turned me off of this. the fan service couldnt even save it for me.
movies....... my favorite ive seen so far this year is eddington. ari aster should be given unlimited money and have complete creative control of everything he makes. i think a lot about beau is afraid. there will not be another movie like it for a very long time. such a dark funny movie...... i also saw bong joon ho's mickey 17 and it was good! i think bong joon ho is one of the most overly "glazed" directors but he consistently makes good movies so... good for him.
my goal for the new year is to make one million dollars. if i dont its my goal for the next year. if i get the million ill be the non nuerodivergent mr beast and hand 100 dollars to the first 100 people to type "good morning mr alf" on the chat box on homepage. my favorite thing riight now is kobo libra color that my wife got for me and my favorite colorn rihgt now is black but like a hex 040200 type thanks
